Nothing at all, but I’ve added some date infos.
Formerly I’ve had written i.e. a death info already when I was sure that the whelping date was more than 20 years ago.
In the last weeks now I have added a whelping date info for more than five thousand parents where I knew the whelping date of child. As a reference you’ll find now often an info like ‘w: before2005′ what means that there was a pub whelped in the year 2005.
All the best for you and your loved ones in 2011

Yesterday after the weekly upload I had to recognize that there’s a confusion with some ‘Barbarella’ maltese b/c we’ve got a kennel in USA (Roark, Barbara) and an other one in UK (Miller, B)! Afaik all maltese relations are fine but in some cases the breeder’s name and by this the country is wrong.
And here is the point, I’ve have corrected the relevant records for the upload next week. But in the past you had to choose only between ‘new’ and ‘updated’ records. In the futur, starting next week, you’ll have also the possibility to choose ‘corrected’ records.
Always at your service

What do you think about such an idea? Which are the pros and cons?
I thought if I’d establish something like that there should be at least two categories per gender:
If you like to recommend a dog or bitch please let me also know the reason why as I don’t know all Maltese.
Do you think a geografical relation per continent or region will be necessary too? I don’t think so.
Klaus, who has changed the formula for COI calculation some days ago and nobody has noticed.
If you choose a pedigree w/ links and more than 6 generations than you may not receive the whole pedigree because of time out by the ISP (Internet Service Provider).
This is caused by the new feature COI calculation. You have to imagine that first of all the system has to find all available ancestors of each dog for the pedigree and only than do the COI calculation. The 30 sec which an ISP normally waits is not enough.
But w/o links and w/ links but limited to 5 generations it still works fine. So I suggest to stay with it like it is now. As I want to keep the COI I only could reduce the max. # of generations to 5 but this would mean also for pedigrees w/o links.
If the answer is YES, ok thank you for passing by, have a nice day and change to another HP
But if you don’t, feel free to find it out right here and now!
I still have to implement some minor adaptions and to add some text concerning COI and ALC (Ancestor Loss Coefficient) but the figures are here.
… what you’re looking for within the MDB here are at least two more data bases for Maltese dogs:
As I’m not copying these records perhaps you’ll find there what you’re missing here. Another source could be a forum. Here you’ll find some links.
… and I’d like to receive an answer.
Up to now I’ve used the international vehicle registration code for the countries where breeders/owners are coming from. As I’m building up a new table for kennel names I’d like to know if you would prefer the 2 digit TLDcc (TopLevelDomain country code) instead of the one I’m using now.
Canada i.e. would change from CDN to ca,
Chile from RCH to cl,
France from F to fr and
Germany from D to de etc.
Klaus, who likes this kind of dialogue because nobody will answer ![]()
Another week with more than 100 new records! And I’m still working on that COI issue. It’s not as easy (at least for me) as you may think
Concerning new data I rely on your support.
Klaus
… means that there’re more than 32,ooo records now!
Because of your support I’ve added more than 200 datasets this week
Additionally I have implemented identification data only as far as available of course
Following my private priority I look first for a DNA# than for a CHIP# and thereafter for a TATTOO. Is this sequence also OK for you?
BTW If you’ll find something like ” [2]” at the end of a dog’s name it has been added by myself to distinguish Malts with the same name and is by this not part of the officially registered name.
If a second or former registration does exist it’s added behind a ‘&’ sign.
